So last night Mike packed up all his stuff in the middle of the night and left the campground. It was an interesting night because there were people out and about all night. They were coming and going from the bar and they were hanging out down by the river. I did not sleep well and woke up early because I wanted to just get out of there. It was raining when me and Sean were packing up our stuff, but we got on the road early. After about 10 mile Sean had wanted to get breakfast, but I continued on because my tire was flat again and I needed to get to a bike shop in Jefferson City. I kept pumping my tire up every 5 miles hoping I would make the next 25 miles to the bike shop. Eventually I made it into town and walked the last mile to the bike shop. I was defeated at this point. I went to a diner next door and wanted to cry. I wanted to call it quits because it was mentally exhuasting to deal with everything. They figured out that the rear tire tread was starting to wear down and crack in the treads where stones were popping holes in the tube. THey fixed everything and I was on my way again.
The section of the trail today was suppose to be the best part of the trail. I was feeling better now that I had my tire figured out and rode for as long as I could. It was amazing to see the cliffs that shoot straight up on one side and the river on the other side. Everybody was right this was the best part of the trail.
I stopped for a snack at a diner and Sean showed up a few minutes later. We rode the last 10 miles to Booneville and I was pretty happy with my day.
