Last night was the first night of camping. I did not really sleep well because the fire trucks were going out and trains were going by all night. I woke up at 5:30 and packed all my stuff up. I made myself some oatmeal and got on the road. It was overcast and cool which was great. I my legs felt great and I was getting through the miles quickly. I eventually had another local rider come up next to me and we ended up talking while riding for about 15 miles. I made it to my 42nd mile at 11:45 and I stopped at an artisan market on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. I had an amazing baguette with roasted tomato, onion, pesto, and pork salami. Following my lunch, I made my way over the first mountain which lead me into Charlottesville. I was going to spent the night in a hostel, but my leg felt good and I pushed on. It was not the best idea of the trip because the climbs were getting harder. I pushed my self through and made it to the Misty Mountain Campground in Greenwood, VA. I set up camp and made myself some mac n cheese and talked with some other campers. I am calling it an early night and hoping for a better night sleep.
