Today I woke up feeling refreshed and I finally had a great night sleep. My knee was bothering me and I was going to rest at the campground for another night. At 8:30 am I decided that I should do a shorter ride and get to Waynesboro rather than sitting around all day. I got on the road and my knee was killing me or the first 2 miles. Then came the Blue Ridge Mountains, I was worried that I had made the wrong decision. I made it to the road that would take me over the Blue Ridge Mountains. I instantly started climing on the steapest road I have seen this trip. I climbed for the next hour and a half at 4 miles per hour. It was one of the hardest thing that I have experience physically and mentally. The only thing I can relate it to is going to the gym and turning the bike resistance to the max and going for an hour and a half. I finally made it to the top of rock gap and had 3 miles down hill to Waynesboro. I stopped at the bike store, went to Jake's Grill for lunch, and rode to a Motel 8 for the night. I only rode 19.45 Miles today, but they were some of the hardest miles I have riden thus far. I am planning to get up early and make it to Lexington, VA tomorrow.
