Today I woke up after a great night of sleep and we went to an awesome cafe in town for breakfast. I have decided that breakfast is my favorite meal of the day because I am so hungery and I will burn off anything that I eat. After hanging out in the cafe for an hour we all decided to get our day underway. We left town and our day started with a 2000 foot climb. It was my least favorite big climb because you could see the cars following the road to the pass and you knew exactily how far you had to go. It is overwhelming to see the how much farther you have because you are always looking at the end and it does not seem to get any closer. This is the bigest climb that I have left on the trip and after finishing I had a great feeling of accomplishment. I also got to collect my reward which was a big down hill.
We made it into the next few cities which were close together. They were old gold rush towns which were turned into tourist towns. We stopped at the only market, where the person working was dressed in old school clothing. They did not have much for supplies, but I did find some fluff. I could not find jelly for my tortillas, so the fluff is going to have to do. It is better than just plain peanut butter. We sat in town and had a snack and I went into the candy store where they were making taffy with a old taffy puller. It was a pretty cool process to watch and I wish I would have bought some, but I was not in the mood for candy.
The scenery has picked up again and I have told myself that I can not expect everything to be great the entire trip I find my mind wondering during the day and I think about some of the craziest shit. It is amazing what you think about when you have the time to think. Eventually we made it into Dillon after another long day of riding. Dillon was a pretty big down, but it was run down. I made a deal with the guy who owned the KOA in town we had a place to camp for the night. We went to the Taco Bus for dinner, which was the same as the one in West Yellowstone where I had the best Mexican food ever. I thought this one was even better. Time for bed.
