Today I left Council at around 8am and only had about 50 miles to ride today because the that was the only place to stay for the next 100 miles. It was going to be a long day becaue there was 6 large climbs through this section and they where some of the steapest I have seen yet. The grades of thes roads were crazy and it was almost impossible to get up these hills. I was counting down the amout of climbs that I had for the day and it was a slow rolling day. Half way through the day I made it to the state line and entered Kentucky. Things were going great and I finally got the the church that I was staying at around 3pm. At the church, the cyclists get to stay in the gym which had a shower and air. The church had a baby shower going on when I got there and they offered a food as soon as I walked in. They had hot dogs, pasta salad, chili, beans, chips, chicken, salad, and cake. They said I could have as much food as I like and they ended up leaving it in the fridge for later and other people. It was amazing how nice and welcoming these people were. They did not know me and they welcomed me with open arms.
After eating a ton of food I played some basketball in the gym and washed my clothes in the sink. I hung them out to dry on the fence and dried out my tent from the night before. It was nice to have a dry cool place to stay for the night. Today I rode about 50 miles and the next two days are going to be a little bit bigger.
