Today I said my goodbye to Charlie. It was so much fun to see him on this trip. Charlie, Sean, Mike, and me went to breakfast at a all you can eat buffet in town. I was going to continue on with Mile and Sean for a few days. It will be nice to ride with some people for a few days. The hills were starting to get smaller, but it was still tough. We set a serious goal for the day to make it to rough river dam state park. It was going to be my first 100 mile day on the trip. The first 50 miles went great and after that it was painful. I felt like I was always looking at my milage tracker and it was taking forever. We got about 10 miles out and we stopped at a gas station. The clerk was telling us that there was no way to get a campground tonight because they were having fireworks on the dam. We pushed on and hoped for the best. As we rolled into the park we asked the lady at the front if we could get a site. She said they were fully booked, but it was our lucky day. A family had decided to head home one night early and they had already paid for the site. She ended up giving us the site for free for the night. Exhuasted and tired we set up our camp. It was crazy around here and people were partying everywhere. As were rode to a gas station for food people were throughing fireworks at us and screaming. It was amost lawless in these parts. Were ate and made it back to the campground safely and decided to stay in our tents for the night.
